The 10th Chief Election Commissioner of India- T. N. Seshan passed away at his residence in Chennai on 10th November 2019. He was 86.
He was appointed as the Chief Election Commissioner on 12th December 1990 during the government of P. V. Narasimha Rao (Congress).
In 1996, he was honored with the Ramon Magsaysay Award for government service.
