RBI extends RTGS timings for Customer Transactions from 04:30 to 6:00 pm

In a notification, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) decided to extend the timings for customer transactions through RTGS from 4:30 to 06:00 pm.
Under this system, the minimum amount for the transaction is Rs 2,00,000/-, and there is no upper limit for the transaction transferred through the RTGS.
The new RTGS timings will be effective from the 1st of June.
The Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) is an online fund transfer system, supported by the RBI, which enables money transaction on a real-time basis.
