Annie Zaidi Awarded With 2019 Nine Dots Prize

The English-language writer from India Annie Zaidi (age 41 years) awarded with the 2019 Nine Dots Prize for her entry ‘Bread, Cement, Cactus’- combining memoir and reportage, exploring concepts of home and belonging to her experience based in contemporary life in India.
The global book prize included an award of USD 1,00,000.
Nine Dots Prize is a prestigious book prize created to award innovative thinking that addresses contemporary issues around the world.
