- Pakistan has successfully test-fired surface-to-surface ballistic missile named Shaheen-II on 21st May 2019, capable of hitting targets as far as 1.5 km.
- Shaheen-II is a medium-range nuclear-capable ballistic missile which could travel 2,000 km (1,250 miles) and carry all kinds of warheads.
- The Shaheen-II is designed and developed by the National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM), and the National Defence Complex (NDC) of Pakistan.
- The Shaheen missile series is named after a Falcon (bird species) that lives in the mountains of Pakistan.
