- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has launched a 'Golden Card' permanent residency visa scheme for expatriates.
- The announcement was made by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
- The golden card visa scheme is open to investors and exceptional talents such as doctors, engineers, scientists, students, and artists, etc.
The Golden Card permanent residency visa scheme includes 5-categories
1. General investors can get a visa for 10-year
2. Investors Of Real Estate can get a visa for 5-year.
3. Entrepreneurs and Talented Professionals like doctors, researchers and innovators can get a visa for 10-years.
4. The 5th category is 'Outstanding Students'. These will also be permitted a visa for 5-years.
5. All the Visa Categories can be renewed upon expiry.
