- The Veteran Bengali Film & TV star Mrinal Mukherjee passed away at a city hospital due to cancer and liver problems. He was 74.
- Mukherjee had worked for over 5 decades in the Bengali Film Industry and acted in films like 'Dui Bon', 'Chhuti', 'Shriman Prithviraj' and more recently 'Byomkesh' and 'Chiriakhana'.
