Rear Admiral Suraj Berry takes over the Command of Eastern Fleet

Current Affairs 30-31st March 2019. Rear Admiral Suraj Berry, NM, VSM takes over as the Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet.
The Sword Arm of the Eastern Naval Command from Rear Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, AVSM, NM at an impressive ceremony held at the Naval Base, Visakhapatnam on 30th March 2019 (Saturday).
Mr. Suraj Berry was commissioned on 1st Jan 1987 and is a specialist in Gunnery and Missile Warfare.
His Sea commands include the missile vessel INS Nirbhik, missile corvette INS Karmuk, stealth frigate INS Talwar, and the aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya of which he was the commissioning Commanding Officer.
He was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal in 2006 and the Nau Sena Medal in 2015.
