12th edition of IPL begins at MA Chidambaram Stadium Chennai

Current Affairs 23rd March 2019. The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) begins at MA Chidambaram Stadium Chennai. It is the biggest, most lucrative and most viewed cricket tournament outside the international arena.
In the opening match, reigning champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
This time will be no IPL opening ceremony. Instead, the money will be donated to Pulwama martyrs.
