Kazakhstan renamed it's capital Astana to Nursultan

Current Affairs 21-22nd March 2019. Kazakhstan has renamed the country's capital Astana to Nursultan in honor of longtime ruler Nursultan Nazarbayev (age 78 years), a day after he resigned as president.
Kazakhstan's new interim president Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposed renaming the capital. Astana replaced Kazakhstan's largest city Almaty as the capital in 1997.
