- Current Affairs 16th March 2019. Swati Shingade has bagged the first prize of DD Mahila Kisan Award 2019.
- The Chairman of Prasar Bharati A. Surya Prakash gave the award to Ms. Shingade at a grand finale event organized by DD Kisan Channel in New Delhi.
- Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Prakash said, the Kisan Channel has provided a platform to the women farmers and the aim of the channel is to make aware the people about the various schemes of the government.
- The Secretary of Information and Broadcasting Amit Khare said, Doordarshan has created a positive thought among the people of the country. He said it has played a great role in the field of agriculture, health, and education.
