Rakesh Makhija appointed as Chairman of Axis Bank

Current Affairs 13th March 2019. Rakesh Makhija (age 67-years) has been appointed as the Chairman of Axis Bank for a period of 3-years with effect from 18th July 2019.
Mr. Makhija replaces Sanjiv Mishra (current Axis Bank Chairman), whose term expires on 17th July 2019.
Mr. Makhija has been an Independent Director on the board of Axis Bank since October 2015.
