- Current Affairs 5th March 2019: The Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced 'Mukhyamantri Parivar Samman Nidhi' scheme in Chandigarh.
- Under this scheme, all the farmers of the state having cultivable land up to 5 acres of land and workers families having income less than Rs.15,000 per month would be eligible.
- The scheme would provide a sum of Rs.6,000 yearly, each family must nominate a member who will be provided with this amount.
- The MPSN-Scheme involves 2 categories of beneficiaries in the age group of (18 to 40 years) and (40 to 60 years).
- The scheme includes insurance of Rs.2 lakhs on natural death, insurance of Rs.2 lakhs for accidental death, insurance of Rs.2 lakhs for permanent disability and Rs. 1 lakh for partial disability.
