- Nepal Government has decided to observe National Plantation Day on Asadh 14 of the Nepali calendar every year. The Government has aimed to plant around 50,000,000 trees in 2019.
- On this occasion, Nepal PM K.P. Sharma Oli said Plantation Day is not limited to a Government program but each and every citizen of the country has its role in it.
