Prime Minister leaves for Japan to attend 14th G20 Summit


  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will leave for Japan to attend the 14th G20 Summit in Osaka on 28th to 29th June 2019.
  • The theme of G20 Osaka Summit is "Human-Centered Future Society". It will be the first-ever G20 summit to be hosted in Japan.
  • More than 20 countries will be participating in the G20 Summit. Informal meeting of the BRICS leaders and bilateral meetings with other leaders would also take place on the sidelines of the summit.
  • India has participated in all the Summits held so far. It will host the G20 summit in 2022 for the first time.
