CM of Telangana Unveil Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project

Chief Minister of Telangana Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao (age 65 years) inaugurated the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, one of the largest multi-stage and multi-purpose lift irrigation schemes.
The cost of this project is Rs.80,190 crore, touted as one of the world’s largest irrigation projects.
Once fully completed, the cities of Telangana state like Karimnagar, Rajanna Sircilla, Siddipet, Medak, Yadadri, Nalgonda, Sangareddy, Nizamabad, Jagtial, etc, will be irrigated.
