- The Government of Himachal Pradesh makes it mandatory for trekkers to carry a GPS device to tackle any exigency.
- The Additional Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh Mr. Shrikant Baldi said that - It would be made mandatory for trekkers to have a GPS device so that they can be provided with all possible help in case of an emergency.
