- Pakistan Army has appointed Lt. General Faiz Hameed as the next Director General (DG) of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
- Prior to this appointment, Hameed was serving as the head of the Counter-Intelligence wing in the ISI.
- He will replace its current head Lieutenant Gen Asim Munir.
- The ISI is the premier intelligence agency of Pakistan, operationally responsible for gathering, processing, and analyzing national security information from around the world.
