- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved Rs 1,650 crore (USD 235 million) for infrastructure projects in 7 to 8 district of Tripura state.
- The ADB would give 80% of the amount as grant-in-aid and the Tripura Govt would have to repay back only 20% loan in due course of time.
- The projects would be executed in Ambassa (Dhalai district), Dharmnagar (North Tripura), Kailashahar (Unakoti), Udaipur (Gomati), Bishramganj (Sepahijala), Belonia (South Tripura) and Khowai (Khowai).
