- The World Blood Donor Day is celebrated globally on 14th June every year, its aim to raise awareness of the need for blood donations.
- The theme for this year is ‘Blood Donation and Universal Access to Safe Blood Transfusion’.
- The slogan - Safe Blood for All - has also been adopted.
