Retired IAS Officer Nripendra Misra re-appointed as Principal Secretary to PM Modi

Retired 1967 batch cadre IAS Officer Nripendra Misra (age 74 years) has been re-appointed as Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
1972 batch cadre IAS Officer Pramod Kumar Misra (age 70 years) has also been re-appointed as Additional Principal Secretary to PM Modi.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved both the appointments with effect from 31st May.
According to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) order, during the term of their office, they will be assigned the rank of Cabinet Minister.
