  • Mela Kheer Bhawani celebrated in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) annually on Zeasht Ashtami. It is the most important festival of Kashmiri Pandits, associated with Hindu Goddess ‘Ragnya Devi’.

  • Kheer Bhawani is a temple that is dedicated to the Goddess Kheer Bhavani. It is one of the biggest religious functions of Kashmiri Pandits community, who were forcefully evicted from Valley in the 1990s by terrorists.
  • People carry rose leaf and walk barefoot, offer tribute to the goddess and offer milk and kheer (pudding) at sacred spring.
