Telangana Government Increased Aid Under 'Rythu Bandhu Scheme' From Rupees 4000 to 5000


  • The Government of Telangana has announced a notification to increased aid under 'Rythu Bandhu Scheme' from Rupees 4000 to 5000 in 2019-20 session.
  • The amount (Rupees 5000/-) would be paid through electronic transfer to all the farmers through e-Kuber, the RBI payment platform.
  • Rythu Bandhu Scheme also known as Farmers’ Investment Support Scheme (FISS) is a welfare program to support farmer’s investment for 2-crops a year by the Telangana Government.
  • The government is providing 58.33 lakh, farmers, Rs 4000/- per acre per season (Now Rs 5000/-) to support the farm investment, twice a year, for rabi and kharif seasons. This is a first direct farmer investment support scheme in India, where the cash is paid directly.
