Govt Of Rajasthan Increases Financial Aid Given To School Girls


  • The Government of Rajasthan has increased the financial aid given to school girls under the ‘Aapki Beti’ scheme.
  • Under this scheme, those girls who are living under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) and whose mother or father or both have died, are eligible to get the annual financial aid.
  • Rajasthan Government increased the amount according to class
    - Rs 2,100 for the girls studying in class 1st to 8th and Rs 1,100 for the girls in class 9th to 12th.
    - The financial aid increased to Rs 2,500 from Rs 1,500.
  • In another notification, Government also increased ex-gratia payment to the next of kin of an official killed on election duty to Rs 20,00,000 from Rs 15,00,000.
