Rajiv Kumar becomes New Finance Secretary

Rajiv Kumar (IAS: 1984 batch officer - Jharkhand cadre) appointed as the new Finance Secretary.
Mr. Kumar replaced former Finance Secretary Subhash Chandra Garg (IAS: 1983 batch officer), now serving as Power Secretary.
Prior to this appointment, Rajiv Kumar served as the Secretary in the Department of Financial Services.
Nirmala Sitharaman (age 59 years) is the Current and 28th Finance Minister of India.
