Odisha Rasagola won the GI tag

Odisha state finally won the Geographical Indication-GI tag for its Rasagola.
On 29th July 2019, the Chennai based GI Registry was release formal certification for 'Odisha Rasagola' under the
Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999.
The certificate for 'Odisha Rasagola' will be valid up to 22nd Feb 2028. In 2017, West Bengal state won the GI tag for its 'Banglar Rasagola'.
