- Allahabad High Court Chief Justice, Shri Govind Mathur (age 60 years), administered her the oath at the Raj Bhawan in Lucknow.
- Prior to this appointment, Anandiben was serving as the MP Governer.
- Anandiben Patel will be the 2nd woman UP Governor after Sarojini Naidu.
