David Lipton Appointed As New IMF Managing Director

US Economist David Lipton appointed as the new Managing Director (MD) of International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Lipton replaces Christine Lagarde (age 63 years).
On 2nd July 2019, Christine Lagarde was appointed as the President of European Central Bank. She replaces Mario Draghi.
IMF is an international organization headquartered in Washington, consisting of 189 countries working to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability around the world.
