PK Purwar Took Over As CMD Of BSNL

The central government appoints Pravin Kumar Purwar (MTNL chairman) as the Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of BSNL for a period of 3-months.
PK Purwar replaces Anupam Shrivastava who retired on 30th June 2019.
MTNL is a state-owned telecommunications service provider in the metro cities of Mumbai and New Delhi in India and in the island nation of Mauritius in Africa.
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is an Indian state-owned telecommunications company headquartered in New Delhi. It was incorporated on 15 September 2000.
