Pramod Chandra Mody, New Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes

Senior Bureaucrat Shri Pramod Chandra Mody has been appointed as the new Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
Mr. Mody {Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax Cadre) - 1982 Batch} succeeds Sushil Chandra, who earlier appointed as an Election Commissioner ahead of the Lok Sabha polls due this summer.
The CBDT a top policy-making body for the Income Tax Department.
