Meghalaya State Animal; Clouded Leopard to be Mascot for 2022 National Games, Meghalaya state will host the National Games 2022, which is coinciding with the 50th year of the creation of the state.
The Executive Committee Meeting of the National Games chaired by Meghalaya Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh has decided ‘Clouded Leopard’ to be Mascot for National Games 2022.
The Clouded Leopard is a wild cat occurring from the Himalayan foothills through mainland Southeast Asia into China. Meghalaya will be the 3rd state after Manipur and Assam hosted the National Games in 1999 and 2007.
