Sanjay Subrahmanyam Win's 2019 Dan David Prize


A. Sanjay Subrahmanyam is an Indian historian has won prestigious Israel's Dan David Prize 2019 for his work on Inter-Cultural Encounters between Asians, Europeans and People of North and South America during the early modern era.
B. The Dan David Prize grants annually three prizes of US$1 million each for outstanding achievement. Fields are chosen for Past, Present, and Future.

  1. Past Category is generally drawn from the fields of history, archaeology, paleontology, and biography.
  2. Present from Arts, Media, Policy and Economics
  3. Future for one of the exact or natural sciences.
