- The People of Ladakh celebrated its Ladakhi New Year 'Losar' with full of joy and gaiety on 28th December 2019. It has been organized by the Ladakh Buddhist Association and Leh Hill Council, in Leh.
- This is the first festival celebrated by Ladakh Region as Union Territory. On the occasion, the People of Ladakh have gathered at Chokang Vihara for festival celebrations in traditional dresses.
- The first Lieutenant-Governor of Ladakh R. K. Mathur also participated in the festival.
