India celebrated 'Good Governance Day' on 25th December


  • Good Governance Day is observed annually on 25th December throughout the nation to celebrates the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
  • In 2014, India had established this day to honor Former PM A. B. Vajpayee.
  • On occasion, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has launched the Good Governance Index in New Delhi.
  • Vajpayee served as Prime Minister for 3-times, First for a term of 13 days in 1996, then 13 months from 1998 to 1999, and for a full term from 1999 to 2004.
