M. Marrero Cruz became the first Prime Minister of Cuba

President Miguel Diaz-Canel has appointed Manuel Marrero Cruz (age 56 years) as the first Prime Minister of Cuba in more than 40 years.
Prior to this, Marrero has served as the Tourism Minister of Cuba for the last 16 years.
The post of Cuba Prime Minister was abolished in 1976 when Fidel Castro had become Cuban President.
