Devesh Srivastava appointed as Chairman-cum-MD of GIC

The Appointment Committee of Cabinet has appointed Devesh Srivastava as the new Chairman-cum-Managing Director of General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC).
He replaced Alice Vaidyan, who retired in July 2019.
In another appointment, The central government appointed Malay Kumar Poddar as Chairman-cum-MD of Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited.
