- The 14th Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik (age 73 years) launched the 'JalSathi' programme and 'JalSathi' App to ensure the supply of safe drinking water to all households in the state.
- Speaking on the occasion, CM Naveen Patnaik said that the inclusion of woman volunteers from Mission Shakti for piped water supply will boost their economic empowerment.
