India's celebrates Vijay Diwas on 16th December

India's celebrated Vijay Diwas on 16th December to commemorate India's victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war.
On this day in 1971, General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi (Chief of Pakistani Army), along with 93,000 troops, surrendered to the Indian Army and Mukti Bahini led by Lieutenant General Jagjit Singh Aurora in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi said that, he salutes the courage and valor of Indian soldiers.
