- The Appointment Committee of Cabinet (ACC) led by PM Modi has approved the appointment of Retired IPS officer K. Vijay Kumar (age 67 years) as a Senior Security Adviser in the Home Ministry.
- Prior to this, he was a former Adviser to the governor erstwhile state of Jammu & Kashmir.
- Besides, he had also been the Senior Advisor to Home Ministry for the Left Wing Extremism areas.
