Masatsugu Asakawa elected as new President of Asian Development Bank

The appointment committee of the Asian Development Bank has unanimously elected the Masatsugu Asakawa as its new President.
Asakawa is currently a special advisor to Shinzo Abe (Japanese Prime Minister) and to Taro Aso (Finance Minister of Japan).
He replaced Takehiko Nakao, who was the 9th President of ADB.
Masatsugu Asakawa will assume the office as 10th President of ADB in next year on 17th January 2020.
