- The International Day for the Abolition of Slavery organized is observed on 2nd December every year across the globe by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
- Its main objective to educate the public on issues of concern, to mobilize political will and resources to address global problems and to celebrate and reinforce the achievements of humanity.
