Arunachal Pradesh to host Women’s Football Championship from 10th to 24th September

It is the first time that Arunachal Pradesh will be hosting the 25th Senior Women’s National Football Championship.
The Women's Football Championship will be held in East Siang district from 10th to 24th September 2019.
At least 30 teams will participate in the tournament, and it has been divided in 8-groups- A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H. The inaugural match will be played between Railways and Mizoram teams.
It is organized by the All India Football Federation and it has been contested since the 1991–92 season and crowns the national football champion each year. It is based on a league and knockout format.
