Arunachal Pradesh to host Women’s Football Championship from 10th to 24th September

  • It is the first time that Arunachal Pradesh will be hosting the 25th Senior Women’s National Football Championship.
  • The Women's Football Championship will be held in East Siang district from 10th to 24th September 2019.
  • At least 30 teams will participate in the tournament, and it has been divided in 8-groups- A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H. The inaugural match will be played between Railways and Mizoram teams.
  • It is organized by the All India Football Federation and it has been contested since the 1991–92 season and crowns the national football champion each year. It is based on a league and knockout format.
