The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) appointed Rajiv Gauba (IAS Officer: 1982 batch) as the next Secretary (Cabinet) for a period of 2-years.
Prior to this, he had served as Secretary in the Union urban development and Additional Secretary in the Home Ministry.
He had also served as Jharkhand Chief Secretary for 15-months in 2016. Sixty-year-old Gauba had also represented India on the board of International Monetary Fund for 4-years.
