H. P. Thakur Took Over As Director Of NIHFW

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has been appointed Harshad Pandurang Thakur as the Director of National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW).
Prior to taking up this assignment, H. P. Thakur was working as Professor at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, Maharashtra.
The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), was established on 9th March 1977 by the merger of 2-national level institutions, viz. the National Institute of Health Administration and Education (NIHAE) and the National Institute of Family Planning (NIFP).
