Ladakh celebrated first UT Independence Day


  • After the bifurcation of J&K state, Ladakh celebrated first UT Independence Day with local peoples and BJP MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal (age 34 years).
  • On 5th August 2019, PM Modi led-Government stripped J&K state of its special status given under Article 370 and divided it into 2- Union Territories- J&K UT and Ladakh UT.
  • Ladakh Lok Sabha Constituency MP Namgyal hoisted the national flag along with BJP Party National General Secretary- Ram Madhav.
  • He also said that the Ladakh region got "Independence from Kashmir" and the celebration is "Just a Trailer" for the development of Ladakh.
