Jyske Bank launches World's first Negative Interest rate


  • The third-largest Bank of Denmark- Jyske launched the World’s first negative interest rate for Home loan, the charge is -0.5% a year.
  • The bank offers a 10-year deal at -0.5%, while another bank-Nordea offer a 20-year deal at 0%, and a 30-year deal at 0.5%.
  • In a press interview, The Bank said that borrowers will make a monthly repayment as usual – but the amount still outstanding will be reduced each month by more than the borrower has paid.
