- Indian off-road racer Aishwarya Pissay became the first Indian to win a world title in motorsports. She won the 2019 FIM Bajas World Cup in the Women's category.
- The 2019 FIM World Cup championship was held at Varpalota in Hungary.
- The 23-year-old Aishwarya from Bengaluru won the first round in Dubai and was placed 3rd place in Portugal, 5th place in Spain and 4th place in Hungary, finished with a tally of 65 points, just four ahead of Portugal's Rita Vieira.
