World's No 1 badminton player Kento Momota retains his title

World's No 1 Japanese badminton player Kento Momota retained his Badminton Asia Championships title in Shanghai, China.
He defeated Chinese player Shi Yuqi 21-12, 11-11, 21-18.
There was more joy for Japan at Wuhan, as Yamaguchi, a silver medallist 2-years ago, won the women's crown with an emphatic victory over home player He Bingjiao 21-19, 21-9.
The 2019 Badminton Asia Championships, is the 39th edition of the Badminton Asia Championships which take place at Wuhan Sports Center Gymnasium in China from 23rd to 28th April 2019 and has a total purse of $400,000.
