- South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) of Ministry of Culture, Government of India is organizing Madhya Dakshini Festival 2019 in collaboration with North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) from 25th to 28th April 2019 in 4 venues of Guwahati.
- In the festival, around 100 folk artists from Central India, states from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Andra Pradesh will perform vibrant and colorful folk dances showing the rich cultural heritage of India.
- The folk artists from the states will perform Songi Mukhate Nritya, Bhagoriya, Fagwa, Gudum Baja Nritya, Gedi Nritya, Karma Dance and Daderi Nritya.
- At the same time, the 50 folk and classical artists of Assam will perform the rich and popular nritya like Bihu, Rbha Folkanti Nritya, Tiwa Lalilang Nritya and Jhumur Nritya in the festival.
