- The President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas has confirmed the appointment of Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh (age 61 years) as the new Prime Minister of Palestine.
- The announcement comes6-weeks after Hamdallah (age 60 years) gave his resignation from the post.
